How to provision cloud agent during installation

  • Start the installation of UC Central from UCW Installer.
  • Login to UC Central portal.
  • Generate Activation code on UCCentral web page, copy and paste it during the installation of Cloud Agent.
  • Restart Quicklaunch.

How to provision cloud agent from Quicklaunch Settings

You can check the status of the device in Quicklaunch->Plugins->UCCentral tab or on the UC Central web page.

If you do not have the Activation code during the installation of UC Central, you can use an invalid code and update it later in Quicklaunch.


How to reprovision Cloud Agent

1. uninstall cloud agent

2. install cloud agent and enter the provision code


How to reprovision Cloud Agent using the registry

  • Open to Registry Editor
  • Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UC Workspace\CloudAgent
  • Remove the "InstanceID" string
  • Login to UC Central portal
  • Remove Device from the UC Central portal
  • Generate a new Activation code on the UCCentral web page
  • Open Quicklaunch Settings, navigate to Plugins->UC Central
  • Refresh Details and paste a new Activation Code.

Note, when reprovisioning CloudAgent it may take up to 2 minutes on the UCCentral Portal to refresh device status.



If reprovision does not work

If UC Central reports about Quicklaunch installation being disconnected and you don't see obvious reasons for this, please do the following:

  • Open to Registry Editor
  • Navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\UC Workspace\CloudAgent
  • Copy the value of the Instance ID string and send it to qlsupport@ucworkspace.com
